Why Did I Choose This Book?

The book title caught my attention. The catchy book cover makes me feel curious about what's all in the book.

About The Author: Sanjeev K Somanath

The author is a storyteller, meta sales coach, and motorcyclist. He has more experience in Sales and Client Management. He leads his sales and happiness coaching practice - The Sales Yogi, which combines the values in the Bhagwad Gita into practical snippets for Sales professionals. His programs are holistic, combining both skills and emotions.

About The Book:

How many of you have heard that “Bhagwad Gita has all the answers related to our life”. If you have heard this phrase before, then this is the time you can find this verse becoming true when you want to improve your salesperson skills. Taking inspiration from the concept of Karma Yog, Bhakti Yog, Dhyan Yog, and Satvik Thinking, the book helps you in becoming the best version of yourself. The perception that this book gives is unique as it includes all the divine knowledge from our very much known Bhagavad Gita, which not only amazes you but also gives you a completely new mindset and a positive attitude.

This book works not only in improving sales skills but also in mastering emotions. So, that we can take corrective measures on every given condition and keep on improvising ourselves.

The author has written this book with a unique concept of connecting  7 chakras and the verses from Bhagavad Gita. For example, The Ajna of sales- Intuition and openness. It means how these chakras help a person become more self-intuitive. A salesperson can use this technique and should do some practice to connect with his/her inner voice. Then, he truly gets all the answers to his questions of what, why and whom, etc.

The Sales yogi is the one who sells his/her products, and who performs his/her duty with full focus etc. Do you remember When Arjuna wasn’t able to utilize his best skills in the Kurukshetra But Lord Krishna guided him to the reality of life and how he could master his emotions in front of his relatives in the battlefield.

I agree with the author’s statement that we’ll are salespersons. We all should try cultivating a few traits like good listening skills, self-awareness, getting engaged, open communication, and being client-centric, etc. The book has all the solutions to becoming the best salesperson.

“The book definitely helps in enhancing your professional life with the best techniques. The author has explained each concept of chakra with an intention to make you aware of your skills.”

“This is an action-oriented book which provides solutions to all your queries related to selling. There are a few practical exercises at the end of each chapter that give you an opportunity to reflect on your “sales graph and planning for the same”. You’ll find everything related to sales in the book. It’ll not tell you what you should sell? But it throws light on, how can you “awaken the salesperson in you”. How can you be creative with your selling skills? How can you master your emotions while dealing with negative feedback? After all, selling is all about the people in it.”

Note: Like yoga and pranayam, the salesperson also needs to put in a lot of effort while dealing with the clients. Thus, the author has shared the bonus chapter on page no. 104 by Jenil Dholakia and Mugdha Pradhan to re-energize yourself in this competitive field. One should take care of himself in all aspects of life i.e. physical, mental, social and spiritual, etc.
