Reliving the Childhood Memories

Reliving Childhood Memories

The moment I wake up in the morning, the first glance I have is at “my beautiful princess face”. The moment makes me feel lazy to get up, so I want to keep cuddling and giving her more hugs. OMG! she behaves like me, who used to sleep only by the fragrance of the mother who’s just lying beside me.

Do you miss your childhood days? The days full of innocence, kiddish act, stubbornness, and what not? We can't go back to our childhood days, but we can re-live those similar memories with our little ones.

I can recall all those moments when my mother tried to wake me and my brother up. But our father was always by our side and asked her to let us sleep for some more time. The same is happening with my daughter now. Kids are so lucky in this case. Kids are carefree, stress free, no workload, etc. That was the best time of the childhood days.

Once we grow up, we live with our daily routine, meeting deadlines, stress, overthinking, planning, etc. My 2 years toddler never fails to entertain us except the days when she is not feeling well. She keeps on doing such activities just to make us laugh and assures that we’re responding  her back. She makes everyone sit together, eat together, dance together and play together like ring-a-ring- roses where everyone is taking a circle and following all the rules.

There comes a time when we try to match her latest pics with our childhood pics. I enjoy the moment  when my husband says she is like her. And, I interrupt in between to make sure that her habits are like mine. This moment brings us back to the old splendid memories. Along with that, my in-laws also shares their childhood experiences and we spend quality time all together.

I want to capture the moment and get it framed in my heart forever or just by getting a picture clicked. Not only me and my husband, but the grandparents are also reliving the moment again. Kids are the stress-buster and they're truly god’s blessings. “The way they approach us, the way they find the solace by making an eye contact, the way they make us realize that we’re everything to them.”

Especially during the lockdown, we’ve used the best time spent with the family forever. And I would like to thank my daughter for entertaining, understanding, co-operating and just being with us. I want to say this to my princess, the best time in the entire day is the time spent with you. I feel disheartened when I ignore you sometimes because you know, Mumma has so much pending work. But Don’t stop making the moments to cherish forever. Here're a few recommendations on games that family members can play together like Chess, Carom Board, Cards, and others

A few other recommendations to play with a toddler along with the family members are like Bowling set, Basketball, coloring mat, and puzzles etc.

A Mother Is the Most Kindest Person

Any mother would agree with me that "The natural state of mother is unselfishness". She is the kindest person on this earth. As we all know about Mother Teresa, known for her kindness. We should learn to be calm and be kind to our kids at every stage of their life.

Don't forget to share " How do you show kindness to your kids"?

I love you Mom

I love you maa, not for who you're but for what you've made me. - Radhika

I love you Mom

(Heartfelt gratitude from a daughter to her mother)

I miss you every single second MAA just after the moment I have become a mother. It’s been two years of my motherhood journey, and I realize I respect you more than ever before. You were always right “ Maa banne ke baad hi, Maa ki feelings samaj aati hain”. Now I listen to you more deeply, now I focus on your words more, now I want to talk to you endlessly. Now I understand and appreciate each effort you have put in upbringing me, brother. Not only this, you are a multitasker who manages the house and maintains relations with love and kindness. There’re so many things I want to imbibe from you. A few are like honesty, patience, selfless attitude, and what not?

Now I realize how difficult it is to become a mother. My roles and responsibilities towards life have been increased. I am sorry if I’m not able to talk to you when you need me. I’m sorry for not visiting you. I miss our chai gossip time. Hahaha !!! I know you don’t like chit-chatting over a cup of tea. I understand, it takes a lot of effort, discipline, and patience to raise a kid in all aspects of life.

Today’s generation is so busy and a little selfish, we often forget that with our time and age, our parents are also growing. We should spend enough time with them to cherish the moments of life.

Itna sukoon aur kha milega , jab maa kehti hain “kab aaoge milne beta”

I sometimes wonder how you could manage everything so well. Now, seriously, I admire you. I respect you for being the CEO of our home. You made me realize earning is not everything in life but self-satisfaction is. You taught me, we’re nowhere if we don’t value our relations.

Kabhi-2 dil bhatak jata hain Maa iss ajeeb si duniya mein,

bhag padti hu sabko dekh kar unke piche,

unka jaisa banne? Unki tarah,

jinko khud ka hi khayal nahi,

Mana ek pehchan banani hain mujhe,

aapne bhi naam kamana hain mujhe,

Lekin woh pehchan mere apno se toh upper nahi,

tab tumhari sikhayi hui baatein yaad aati hain Maa”.

I wanted to pour out my feelings for you by this blog. I can list an unlimited number of things that I have learned from you. But I want to ensure that I'll put in my best efforts to walk on the path which you have shown me. The two most important are “ value relationships” and “never forget to love yourself”. Now I know what's best for me.

 Thank You Maa!

Happy Hormones- Happy Mumma

H. Happy Hormones-Happy Mumma

Hormones are the chemicals that are produced by glands present in the body. It affects our body in over one way like it affects our mood, lifestyle, and relationships, etc.

A new mother has to deal with many things like breastfeeding, recovering, and taking care of the baby. She might get frustrated in between following all the chaos. It's equally important to keep your hormones happy while dealing with every task and not pressurizing too much on yourself.

There Are 4 Types of hormones that make us happy. If we focus on those well. Then, we’ll not feel sad or dull. We’re going to discuss those hormones which can keep a mother or anyone happy.

1.  Dopamine

This hormone is related to the brain reward system. Anything that makes you happy from inside and outside, activates dopamine. For eg, a minor change in your environment, a change in lifestyle, adopting healthy eating habits, etc. A mother can create a happy environment around her baby that slight change will make her feel happy too.

2.  Oxytocin

It is known as the ‘love hormone. The relations that we maintain with our kids activates it and the spouse etc. for eg, during breastfeeding, a mother feels happy that her child is taking breastfeed. It signals her mind and activates oxytocin which helps a mother to produce more milk naturally.

3.  Serotonin

This hormone is more related to our eating habits. We should eat rich foods like omega-3, nuts, ghee, and lentils to ensure healthy levels of serotonin hormones. Don’t go for unhealthy products but add more protein and iron-rich foods to your diet to enhance your mood. A new mother should take care of her diet well to have enough energy to take care of herself and the baby.

4.  Endorphins

We know it to reduce stress and pain. A new mother can do this by meditating, journaling, socializing, etc. These activities help her boost her self-esteem. You can try laughing more, spending some quality time with yourself, heal yourself, etc. to ensure healthy levels of endorphins.

You can try Mandala coloring, listening to songs, and anything that makes your soul happy.

If a Mumma is happy, she will raise a cheerful kid.

GARBH SANSKARS

GARBH SANSKARS

One thing if I wish I wanted to gain more knowledge during my pregnancy days, that was the "Garbh Sanskars". I regret not being aware of it, but I put in my best efforts to stay positive. I performed chanting and listened to relaxing music to send positive vibrations to the fetus in the womb. But nowadays, people are becoming more aware of it. Many sessions are going on regarding this. This is not something new in the trend, but it's been for a long time.

The term Sankars defines “values, karmas, belief, thoughts, and the deeds”. It varies from person to person depending on their culture, experience, and behavior. A person sanskar shows outside is there in the subconscious mind.

Like, the same way the word “garbh” refers to “fetus in the womb”, and sanskar means “education of the mind”.

It plays a crucial role in building up the sanskar in an unborn child. It is only possible when a mother follows its practices in various forms. There is scientific evidence that a healthy child is born inside with the support of garbh sanskar. The mother’s emotional state of mind influences it while she carries the baby.

If a mother is happy and thinking positively, then it’ll have a positive impact on the fetus, and vice versa. When a mother feels happy inside, it releases oxytocin hormones and the baby also understands the feelings of a mother. By the time, the kid is 3 months inside the womb; the baby gets recognized for the taste, sound, and smell.

Pregnancy is the most beautiful phase in a woman’s life. To make the pregnancy more positive and happy, here are a few tips to follow garbh sanskars:

Benefits of garbh sanskars

  • Develop the bond of mother-child
  • Promote good physical well-being
  • Develop the baby’s brain - The child 80% the brain is developed in the mother’s womb only during the pregnancy (the scientific evidence)
  • Keeps the baby calm and stays positive.

How a mother can practice garbh sanskar:

Yoga and music therapy” - to a fetus, a mother’s voice is clearer than any other voice. Through Garbh Samvad (specific guided meditation to be performed during the pregnancy), you can talk to the baby in the womb.

Om chanting- the child feels the calming energy and has a positive vibration when a mother chants “OM”

Positive self-talk: you need to understand that your child is listening to you every single second. They can't express, but they can feel.

Journaling – you can sit with your husband and write what all wonderful qualities you want in your baby. Take out its printout and post it on the wall where it will be the most visible. Be specific while mentioning. For eg, intelligent, dancer, spiritual, and positive attitude, etc.

The Garbh Sanskar is for all those women who are going to be a mother. She can perform this anytime and anywhere. But to get the best results, they should practice it daily at a specific time.
